This was another one of those "the-girls-are-already-asleep-and-I-still-need-to-take-a-picture-and-I'm-all-tapped-out-of-ideas-at-the-moment" days. At least it's done.

So.... I'm sharing a fun craft. I got the idea for this menu from my friend, Beth. I used burlap-looking scrapbook paper inside an 8x10 frame and letter stickers. I use a dry erase marker to write down the week's meals. I'm not so crafty as I used to be, but I enjoy it when I take the time!

I'm reading The Help. I know I'm only two years behind the rest of the country, but I want to go see the movie, and I have to read the book first. Besides, I don't often read "grown up" literature; I stick with children's and YA lit.

Nick and I are new Kindle-lovers. The girls and I got it for him for Father's Day. It's one of those gifts that has benefitted me, too! I like that I can easily hold it and advance "pages" with just one hand. Perfect for when I'm trying to give Caroline her bottle, too. So nice of Nick to share!

{at the "beach"}
We went with our friends, the Coopers, to the Purple Cow tonight for dinner and splash pad/beach play. The weather was surprisingly "cool" this evening, so it worked out perfectly. There was a band playing out there too, so Kate enjoyed getting her dancin' groove on!

Love her sandy hiney in this one...

And here's Caroline. She doesn't play in the sand quite yet. ;)
Kate got a 'hair' update yesterday, so I guess this can be Caroline's 'cheeks' update. Ha!

{the wind whipping through her hair}
Kate and I took advantage of the cool afternoon and played outside for awhile. It was overcast, breezy, and just 88 degrees; I didn't even break a sweat! Of course, the rain never came, but we thanked the Lord for the cool day and time spent outside together.

And a hair update... it's growing!

And I had to include this one (even though I posted a swing photo yesterday) because I love the expression on Caroline's face as she looks at her reflection!
