Chase turns thirteen tomorrow! Kate, Caroline, and I went over to my brother 's house to celebrate.
I can't tell you exactly why I like this picture, but I do. I think it's because it's from Kate's perspective. She adores her big cousins, "Tace" and "Parpar."
More pics from the evening...
Grandmother wanted her picture made with Kate before we left. Kate put the placemat on her head and called it a hat. Crazy kid. :)
{um, where'd kate go?} We're normally good about keeping Kate in the "restricted" living room/kitchen area, but someone (coughdaddycough) left the powder room door open. What is it with toddlers and TP?
{superstar} Caroline has been sleeping from 9:30pm to 7am for 4 weeks now, so yesterday we decided to try her for that twelve hour stretch. She did it!! We fed her at 7pm, put her down by 7:30, and I went up to feed her this morning at 7:10. She was wiggling around, and her swaddling was super loose, but she still hadn't made a peep!
This series was taken at 10am when I went to wake her from her first nap.
Fast Asleep Huh, what? Oh, hi, mama!! Hurry up and feed me!
{deja vous} While I made Kate's dinner, Caroline hung out in her lambie chair on the island. I turned and looked at her and I was immediately reminded of a picture of a four-month-old Kate in the same onesie in the same chair on the same island. I picked up my camera and snapped these pics of Caroline to compare.
{craft night!} Tonight I went over to my friend Sara's house for a Lens Baby moms' craft night. She had many tutorials prepared for us on how to make different felt flowers and buntings (cute props for photo shoots). I attempted these two headbands for the girls, and I'm pleased with how well they turned out! I really enjoyed an evening with my LB friends.
{playing inside} With a high today of 109 (and I don't even want to know what the heat index was), we stayed home all day. We don't normally play in my room, but we needed a change of scenery! Here Kate is sharing her milk with Caroline. This was after Kate sat on her. It's a good thing Caroline has some extra padding!
{playing dress up} Kate, Caroline, and I went to a Lens Baby meetup today with a "dress up" theme. I pulled out these beads and a couple of bracelets for Kate to use, and she didn't let go of them all morning! These were (obviously) taken at home before we left, but I thought they were cuter than the ones I got at the meetup because she's in her diaper and PJ top. I love her belly in that shot on the left!
