I'm so behind on my editing + blogging! I'm trying to play catch up, though, and first up are some shots of our cuties at the park from Feb. 2. While it was a warm winter day, it was a bit too cold for Kate to be wearing shorts. Mama may have been a little too excited about the above-average temps and cute spring clothes! It didn't seem to bother Kate one bit (in case you're my mom and you were worried about it).  ;)




In the one w/ Caroline taking off her shoes, you can see it's b/c Kate (on the left) was taking off hers. Caroline is such a little copy-cat!

I love to sing to my girls before bed. It has always been part of our routine, and strangely, it's always been hard for me. As I clutch my girls close in dim light and sing lullabies sung to me by my parents and to them by their parents, I am overwhelmed by my love for my children. I am overwhelmed by my Father's perfect love for me. And it's when I start thinking of days none too distant that my girls won't want bedtime songs or feel so tiny in my arms that I begin to lose it. My voice doesn't work anymore, and I have to stop, gulp, and will those lyrics to come out stronger. Sometimes it's easier just to hum.
